Eileen’s Place

A Neighborhood for Families

Eileen’s Place is located in the Victory Hills neighborhood of Kansas City, Kansas. Bring It Home secured a $128,000 grant which allow all 60 units in this affordable apartment complex to be completely furnished. Our team also organized volunteers to unload the trucks and assemble the furniture.

Helping brighten a rainy day

Heather Bradley-Geary coordinated 150 fellow volunteers — including her son Micah’s football team— to unload, assemble and install 3 semi-trucks worth of furniture for all 60 homes at Eileen’s Place.

Each family arrived to a new, fully-furnished home: queen bed with mattress, bunkbeds, nightstand, dresser, couch, coffee & end tables, TV stand, armchair, and a kitchen dining set.

Heather Bradley-Geary, Director of Supportive Housing, The Vecino Group

“Eileen’s Place provides 60 units of permanent supportive housing, decreasing homelessness by at least 6% in the greater Kansas City area. ”
